Dragon Delights 2026 Season Update

The 2026 dragon fruit season is officially underway, and we wanted to share a quick update on what’s happening around the farm.

The good news is that we’ve had some warmer weather this year, especially compared to last season. February brought some early heat, which encouraged a few of our dragon fruit plants to start flowering sooner than usual. We’re already seeing some fruit developing on varieties like American Beauty, Physical Graffiti, and Sugar Dragon.

That said, we’re still very early in the season.

While we’ve had some flowers and fruit, there simply isn’t enough yet to support Twilight Tours or Open Farm Days. Those events depend on having large flowerings and plenty of fruit for everyone to enjoy, and we’re not quite there yet.

The encouraging part is that the weather has been much more predictable than it was last year. Many visitors may remember how unusual conditions threw off our timing and made it difficult to predict flowering and fruit production. This year has been much more normal so far, which gives us a better chance of accurately planning events as the season progresses.

If everything continues on track, we hope to have some fruit available for online sales in July. As always, we’ll share updates as soon as fruit becomes available.

Looking ahead, the biggest flowerings and heaviest fruit production typically arrive between mid-August and September. That’s when we expect to begin scheduling Twilight Tours, Open Farm Days, tastings, and other farm activities.

We know many people are eager to start planning visits, and we are too. We simply like to wait until we’re confident in the timing before announcing dates. Dragon fruit has a way of keeping us humble, and we’ve learned it’s better to be accurate than early.

There is also a chance we may be able to offer a few smaller experiences before the main season begins. Depending on how these early fruit sets develop, we may have opportunities for small group tours or limited tastings. We’re still watching the plants closely and will share more information if those opportunities become available.

The next few weeks should give us a much clearer picture of the season ahead. As flowering activity increases, we’ll begin announcing fruit availability, tour dates, Open Farm Days, and other seasonal events.

Thank you for following along with another season at Dragon Delights. We’re looking forward to sharing the months ahead with you and hope to see you at the farm soon.
